The truth about food and health

The truth about food and health

Description of the book

Should you trust Dr Mosley? Is the 5:2 diet evidencebased? Are advocates of low-carb foods like Dr Atkins and science journalist Gary Taubes on the right track?
According to the “Big Fat Surprise”, meat belong in a healthy diet, but where is the evidence? Is the Mediterranean diet a solution? And what about alcohol and coffee? Why do we fnd it so hard to change our eating habits? Historical examples show how beliefs have swung from one side to another. This book tries to summarise what research to date can tell us about food and health. But, be critical, food and health is probably the most diffcult research area of all.
